Red Fort The Red Fort is major attraction of the walled city of Delhi. The red stone walled fort extends around 2 Kms and the height of the walls vary from 18 metre to 33 metre. The fort houses the hall of public audiences, the hall of private audiences, the royal baths and Moti Masjid.

Jama Masjid The largest mosque in India is located in front of Red Fort. Built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan the mosque is known for traditional Mughal architecture.

Rajghat This is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, where he was cremated after his assassination.

Laxmi Narayan Temple Built by the industrialist Birla this grayish colour temple is a modern temple.

India Gate This 42m high stone "Arch of Triumph" was erected in the memory of Indian soldiers who died in the First World War.

Humayun's Tomb The tomb built by wife of Humayun, is an excellent example of early Mughal architecture.

Qutab Minar Built by Qutbuddin Aibak the building complex are fine examples of Afghan architecture.

Agra

After exploring the monuments of Mughal empire in Delhi, Agra is the other city to know more about Mughal architecture. The major attractions in Agra are :

Taj Mahal One of the seven wonders of the world, this white colour monument was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It is a symbol of eternal love.

Agra Fort Built by Akbar, the fort is known as Red Fort of Agra. Inside the Fort complex there a many attractive palaces, audience halls and mosques.

Jaipur

This is the last city under golden triangle tours. The city also known as pink city, is famous for its pink coloured buildings and palaces. Among the famous attractions in Jaipur are :

City Palace These palace are a blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. A portion of the palace has been converted into a museum. The museum has the impressive collection of arts, carpets, enamelware and arms.

Jantar MantarCity Palace, Jaipur Built by Raja Jai Singh this is one of the five observatories. This observatory is the largest and best preserved.

Amber Fort The palace was built in the end of 16th century by Raja Man Singh the Rajput commander of Akbar's army. Situated on a hilltop the fort is superb example of Rajput architecture, overlooking a lake.
