India is a vast country which offers everything for a tourist, right from

Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttaranchal, Himachal
Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. Northern zone is famous for historical
monuments built by Mughals, Rajputs and other Maharajas in Delhi, Agra and
other cities and towns. The sacred Ganges flows past by holy cities where
the high mountains of Himalayan ranges stand as beautiful backdrop.
Central Zone of India : The central zone mainly include
the state of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is known for its rich cultural
heritage. The state dotted with numerous monuments, exquisitely carved
temples, stupas, fort and palaces speaks of the by gone era, of empires
and kingdoms, of brave warriors, musicians, saints, philosophers and
builders.
Western Zone of India : Western zone includes the
states of Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Western Zone is is home to several
attractions like Gateway of India (Mumbai), Beaches (Goa), Rann of Katch
(Gujarat), Temples of Ajanta & Ellora ( Aurangabad, Maharashtra) &

Southern Zone of India : The Southern zone of India includes Kerala,
Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Known as the land of temples,
the zone is famous for its temple architecture and various festivals
throughout the year.
Eastern Zone of India : Eastern Zone consists of states
like Assam, Bihar, Orissa, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Tripura and Sikkim. The
parts rich in Cultural Heritage provide a taste of beaches, temples,
monasteries, Buddhist sites with a rural touch. Most popular tourist
destinations of this zone include Kolkata, Puri and Bhubaneshwar, Buddhist
sites in Bihar, Monasteries in Sikkim, Kanchenjunga mountain ranges in
Darjeeling.
Climate of India
Climate of India is one of the most important factor when to tour India.
The climatic condition of India is quite different in different zones, for
instance the climate of north is much different from the south. India's
climate is generally divided into three main seasons such as the hot
(summer), the wet (monsoon) and the cool (winter). The duration of these
seasons vary from north to south.
The northern plains remain extremely hot in the months of March to June.
In central India temperature soars above 45°C during this period. The
parts of South India also becomes very hot during these months. During the
summers the people residing in plains head for hill stations. The monsoon
season arrives by June, which cause high humidity, electrical storms,
short rainstorms and dust storms which created an uncomfortable condition.
The monsoon ends by early October in almost all parts of the country, this
is the time when large number of tourists visit India. The ideal time to
visit most of the tourist destinations in India is in between October to
February.
