Day 01 Mumbai
You'll be welcomed by our reception team warmly upon your arrival at
Mumbai International Airport. You'll be transferred to the hotel
afterwards for rest or any other activity and to clarify your doubts if
any.
Day 02 Mumbai - Chennai - Mahabalipuram
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to the airport and leave for
Chennai. Later we'll drive towards Mahabalipuram and after reaching there,
check in at the hotel. Later we'll embark upon a brief sightseeing tour of
the city of Seven Pagodas. There are rock temples that are excavated from
the ground which are called Mandapas.
Day 03 Mahabalipuram
You'll have your breakfast at the hotel and later we'll drive towards
Kanchipuram and pay a visit to Ekambareshwar Temple, Kamakshi Temple and
Viakunta Temples. Afterwards we'll go to watch the silk producing centres
at Kanchipuram.
Day 04 Mahabalipuram - Chennai - Tiruchirapalli
We'll start our day with breakfast and later drive towards Chennai
Airport. We are here to take the flight for Tiruchirapalli and after
reaching the city we'll first check in at the hotel. The city has many
interesting attractions such as the Rock Fort Temple, Viralimalai which is
famous for its Murugan Temple, Sittanvasal etc.
Day 05 Tiruchirapalli - Madurai
We'll
have breakfast the first thing in the morning and then head towards
Madurai by road. We'll be paying a visit to Birhadeswara Temple and to the
statue of Nandi Bull. Our Overnight stay has been scheduled at Madurai
itself.
Day 06 Madurai
We can have a relaxed breakfast today morning as the rest of the entire
day is scheduled for our Madurai tour only. We'll take you to the
Meenakshi Sundareshwar Temple which is a twin temple and to Raya Gopuram
which is actually an unfinished Gopuram. Other places that we'll visit are
Palace of King Tirumalay, Temple of Alaghar Kohli, Elephant Rock etc.
We'll stay for the night in Madurai.
Day 07 Madurai - Trivandrum
After our heavy (but necessary as today we are going on drives that are
going to be long) breakfast we'll leave Madurai for Trivandrum by road. We
are going to visit several exciting destinations en route such as Kanya
Kumari and the southern tip of India. When we reach Trivandrum we'll be
doing some pretty obvious things such as checking in at the hotel, having
dinner and retiring to the room for that much needed rest.
Day 08 Trivandrum
Have a leisurely breakfast as we get ready to explore the capital of
Kerala, Trivandrum. Known widely for its historic temples, we've come here
to see the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple and other attractions as well such
as Shree Chitra Gallery, the Zoological Park, Napier Museum etc.
Day 09 Trivandrum - Bangalore - Hassan
The
breakfast gives a good start for your day as you get ready to be
transferred to the airport for your flight to Bangalore. But you won't get
to stay there as we leave for Hassan by road. Check in at the hotel after
which the rest of the day is at your disposal. Basically this place is
serene and calm and it serves more like a base to visit Siddheshwara
Temple, Shravanbelgola, Belur and Halebid. But we'll do that tomorrow. So,
sleep tight for the night at Hassan.
Day 10 Hassan - Mysore
After the breakfast, we'll be leaving for Mysore and will be visiting
Halebidm Belur Temples and Shravanbelgola en route, as is mentioned in the
tour programme of the previous day. Check in at the hotel after arrival at
Mysore for your overnight stay.
Day 11 Mysore
Mysore wishes you a very good morning as you wake up with sleepy eyes. A
sumptuous breakfast is exactly what you need before we devote this day for
our sightseeing tour of Mysore. This city used to be a former capital of
the region and is still an unmatched attraction, though in the meantime it
has become a city with a slight increase in pace. Visit the Temple of
Goddess Chamundeshwari as well as Brindawan Gardens, Lalitha Mahal Palace
etc to get to the pulse of the city. Stay for the night at Mysore.
Day 12 Mysore - Hoyasala - Somnathpur - Bangalore
We'll leave Mysore after the breakfast and we also get to see the
Hoyasala sculptures at Somnathpur. Later we'll leave for Bagalore for our
night stay.
Day 13 Bangalore - Mumbai
After breakfast, we'll escort you to the airport for your flight to
Mumbai.
